Houston Area Businesses Chip in to Care for Seniors Who Have Outlived Their Resources

At The Crossings, a faith-based senior living community in League City and part of Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC), one promise has always set us apart: a commitment to care for residents not just today, but for the rest of their lives.

Through the Covenant Fund, that promise becomes real—providing financial support to residents who, through no fault of their own, outlive their resources.

It’s a promise rooted in compassion. And thanks to the generosity of local businesses throughout the greater Houston area, it’s a promise that continues to grow stronger.

Across the area, businesses are stepping forward in meaningful ways—each contributing to the MRC Covenant Fund and helping ensure that residents of The Crossings can continue to live with dignity, security, and peace of mind. Whether large or small, these gifts represent something far greater than a dollar amount. They reflect a shared belief that older adults deserve stability, care, and community for life.

Why the Covenant Fund Matters

Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Even the most prepared individuals can face unexpected financial challenges later in life. The Covenant Fund exists for this very reason—to step in when it’s needed most.

For residents at The Crossings, it means staying in the place they call home—surrounded by neighbors who feel like family, caregivers they trust, and a community that knows them well. It removes the fear of displacement and replaces it with reassurance.

Between the dates of June 8th-12th, MRC celebrates Covenant Week, a full week of celebrations to raise both awareness and funds to support elders in need.

A Community Effort in League City

With this special week just around the corner, local businesses have already begun chipping in towards the overall fundraising goal. These contributions are a powerful reminder that caring for seniors isn’t the responsibility of one organization alone—it’s something an entire community can rally around.

League City businesses play a vital role in that effort. By choosing to give back, they are directly impacting the lives of residents at The Crossings, helping preserve independence and dignity for years to come.

We are incredibly grateful for the many local partners who see the value in this mission and choose to stand alongside us. We want to extend our gratitude to all of the many local businesses who have elected to join this cause.
